Carlos King Criticizes ‘Real Housewives Of Dubai’, Accusing Castmates Of Studying & Copying Other Housewives: It’s Hard For Me To Get Into Them, I Don’t Think They’re Being Themselves
Reality TV producer Carlos King recently gave his less than satisfactory opinion of the new Housewives spinoff.
While joining two of the original Housewives, The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon on their podcast, Carlos King condemned the new series, The Real Housewives Of Dubai, which premiered June 1st of this year. Despite the franchise’s overall success, King says he is mostly unimpressed by the new cast of women. The former Love & Hip Hop producer went on the accuse the cast of ripping off personalities from previous Housewives stars.
During the episode of the Reasonable Shady podcast, King stated:
“Let’s talk about the Real Housewives of Dubai, which I like to say The Real Housewives of bye bye,”

He continued:
“For me, those women have studied every single housewife, and it’s hard for me to get into them, because I don’t think they’re being themselves.”
As King and the shows reality TV star hosts began to discuss specifics, they note how the only “interesting” character, model Chanel Iyan is the one who King is specifically referencing in his point. Speaking of Iyan, King stated:
“The thing is this, when you look at someone like Chanel on Dubai, you’re already interesting….You’re gorgeous, you have this interesting look, everything about your life to me is interesting. You don’t have to try hard to be the moment.

He continued:
“Just be you…..You already have it aesthetically. So miss thing go into the scene and make magic happen.”
It’s safe to say that King knows a thing or two about making reality TV moments happen. The Kingdom Reign Entertainment CEO has previously produced for some of the most talked about unscripted series, formerly producing for the hit series The Real Housewives of Atlanta as well as New Jersey.
Rapping up the conversation, King went on state that cast members being themselves is what he thinks made the first housewives series, Real Housewives of Potomac, so great. He stated:
“That’s the reason why, in my opinion and this is no shade let’s talk about it. That’s why, Potomac became great.”

A sentiment that Bryant and Dixon seemed to proudly echo.
