Chris Rock’s “Everybody Hates Chris” Animated Reboot To Run On Paramount+ & Comedy Central
A reimagined version of Everybody Hates Chris will be on a television near you.

The show is an animated version of Chris Rock’s Everybody Hates Chris which aired on CW for four seasons. MTV Entertainment gave the straight-to-series order to the show which will globally steam on Paramount+ and Comedy Central.
Chris Rock continues to narrate the autobiographical family comedy inspired by his teenage years and is the executive producer of the new series. CBS Studios and 3 Arts Entertainment produced Everybody Hates Chris and put together the animated reboot, will produce with MTV Entertainment Studios.

Sanjay Shah, who serves as a showrunner and wrote the pilot script for Everybody Hates Chris, is the executive producer for the new series alongside co-creators and executive producers Rock and Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky. Chris McCarthy, CEO of Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios said:
“Chris Rock is one of the most gifted comedians of all time and we’re excited to partner with him, 3 Arts and CBS Studios to bring this to life and welcome it as the next big hit in our expanding arsenal of iconic adult animation that includes smash series such as South Park and the new Beavis and Butt-Head.”

Everybody Still Hates Chris was in the works for almost a year and half. In the past four months, Chris Rock, 57, has been the focus of pop culture, following the astonishing Oscar slap by Will Smith, which resulted in the 57-year-old having sold out shows and a new legion of fans. George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS said:
“A reimagining of this groundbreaking, critically acclaimed series has been a source of creative discussions at our Studio for a long time. It’s exciting to join forces with 3 Arts and the comedic genius of Chris Rock as he expands on his vision of the original show in this innovative new format. This also marks another significant in-house collaboration for CBS with Chris McCarthy and our valued partners at MTV Entertainment Studios as we jointly support this marquee series for Paramount+ and Comedy Central.”
