Maino Says Keyshia Cole Threw Lemons At Him In The Club After Lying About ‘Finger Popping’ Her In One Of His Songs: Don’t Be Saying Sh*t Like That I Got A N*gg*!
Maino had to face some consequences following his lies about women featured in his songs.

In a recent interview, Maino revealed that Keyshia Cole once threw lemons at him because he lied about having a sexual encounter with her in the club. According to Maino, the “Let It Go” singer was mad that he fabricated a sexual encounter between them for one of his rap tunes. In his record, Maino alleged he ‘finger popped’ Keyshia Cole on the dance floor. While speaking on the questionable lyric, the 48-year-old admitted:
“I paid for that line!”
He continued:
“That never happened, first off. I was running my mouth on that right there.”
He added:
“Remember Sony studios? I was over there one day and I had left and then I came back they said ‘yo, Keyshia Cole and Remy just came in here looking for you.’ I said ‘what? Looking for me?’ they said ‘yeah they was mad!’ Remy used to have a 645 back then. Everybody remember that? So I said ‘they looking for me?’ they said ‘yeah n*gg*’ I said ‘aight’”
The “All The Above” rapper said this was after he made the track mentioning Keyshia Cole but had no idea she was looking for him because of that. He said:
“It never happened. So what happened was. I was at – remember Ruby Falls, it turned into soul and then it turned into something else? They used to have the DJ booth up in the sky, like it was a DJ booth up there and I was in there, same night! Sh*t is just flying down on me, sh*t is dropping down on me.”
Maino shared:
“At this time I was pretty active in the club, put niggas in comas over there. So sh*t flying I’m like ‘who the f*ck playing with me like that?’ And I’m looking, I said ‘oh somebody throwing lemons? Who the f*ck throwing lemons at me?’ We go up to the DJ booth, it’s Keyshia Cole.”
Maino explained:
“She like ‘yeah n*gg*, that’s me!’ She like ‘yeah n*gg* f*ck is wrong with you? I got a n*gg* you keep saying sh*t on records and all that – I’m a real b*tch’ and I was like ‘yo’ I was laughing I was like ‘hold on.’”
Maino said:
“I got so much respect for her because we wound up getting mad cool after that because she checked me! She checked me! Right then and there! ‘N*gga, I’m a real bitch! N*gg* like I understand, I know what type of n*gg* you is like, don’t be saying sh*t like that I got a n*gg*!’”
He clarified:
“That particular thing never happened, I was talking crazy.”
This isn’t the first time Maino landed himself in trouble with the women in the music industry. As previously reported, Maino and singer K. Michelle’s beef continued to rise after the rapper made a comment about K. Michelle having a not-so-good smelling private part during a Love & Hip Hop episode. K. Michelle said:
“The b*tch can go suck a d*ck and get this lawsuit in January. Everything I been through, EVERYTHING — unping him out. I don’t want him nowhere around me. I want the courts to handle him in January.”
