Thank you for giving so selflessly.”

Original story: Insecure star Denise Dowse is in a coma and doctors don’t know when she’ll come out.

Denise Dowse’s sister, Tracey Dowse, took to Instagram on Aug. 7 and broke the tragic news that Denise Dowse, 64, is in a coma due to a bout with meningitis. Tracey shared,

“Hello, Family and Friends, from @dreamofthesoultd page. As many of you have seen, my posts have been positive and uplifting. I am trying to keep my spirits up and support those who need it. As many of you know, I am a private person. So, this is hard for me. I am requesting support and prayers be offered to me and my sister and my only immediate family @denisedowse. She is currently in the hospital in a coma brought on by a virulent form of meningitis.”

She went on to say,

“Her doctors do not know when she will come out of the coma as it was not medically induced. She is a vibrant actor and director that should have many years ahead of her. Thoughts, prayers, and support are greatly appreciated. I have been reading your comments and want to acknowledge everyone’s comments. I will not be responding to your texts as I do not want you to think it is coming from her at this time.”

Denise played in HBO’s Insecure as Dr. Rhonda Pines and is known for starring in Ray, Girlfriends, 90210, and Beverly Hills. To date, she has appeared in over 30 films and 85 television shows.
