Kim Kardashian Wasn’t A Fan of Her 13-Year Age Gap W/ Pete Davidson

It looks like the 13-year age gap between Kim Kardashian, 41, and Pete Davidson, 28, played a big part in their breakup!

While the pair seemed to be in love, it appears that there were some underlying issues that led Kim Kardashian to ultimately call it quits with the former ‘SNL’ star.

A source close to the matter claims that the SKIMS owner is focused on her career and raising her four children and prefers someone who is in a similar stage of life. The insider said,

“Kim’s expressed she’s ready to date someone older but it has to be the right person who understands her life. She isn’t compromising her freedom right now.

They added that although Kim Kardashian “enjoys dating,” there will definitely be an age criterion for her next partner as she’s “putting herself out there again.” 

Earlier this month, an insider told sources that despite their “strong connection” throughout their nine-month relationship, Kim couldn’t have the same spontaneity that Davidson’s life allowed. They explained:

“Pete wanted Kim to stay in Australia with him for an extended amount of time and she just isn’t at a place in her life where she can do that.. It was at that point that the reality star realized that “although age is only a number, it does carry with it certain things that make her and Pete not relatable.”

As previously reported, on Friday (Aug. 5), it was announced that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson ended their relationship after 9 months together. Sources close to the couple told E! News that the Kardashians star and Pete Davidson have broken up and decided to just be friends. The insiders claimed that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.

The pair were first romantically linked in October 2021 after they were spotted holding hands on a roller coaster ride at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California. Shortly before their public outing, they had shared an onscreen kiss on Saturday Night Live when Kim Kardashian made her hosting debut that same month.

Kim Kardashian made her romance with Pete Davidson Instagram official on March 11, just a couple of weeks after being declared legally single from ex-husband, Kanye West. The mother of four shared two photos of herself and the “King of Staten Island” actor.

It was also reported that Pete Davidson allegedly proposed to Kim Kardashian before she ended their 9-month relationship. An inside source explained,

“Everything was just moving too fast. Kim wanted to slow things down and instead Pete proposed. He is devastated. Everyone warned him that he was going to push her away, but he didn’t listen. Remember, this is the same guy that proposed to Ariana Grande after just a few weeks. Pete learned nothing from that relationship. He falls hard and he falls fast.”
