Russell Wilson Reacts To Being Booed By Seahawks Fans After Returning For First Time Since Trade To Denver: They’ll Love You One Day & Hate You The Next

Superstar quarterback Russell Wilson was all smiles after being booed by his former teams “hostile” fans.

In a press conference following his first game back to Seattle, the athlete addressed the situation in his typical collected manner. As previously reported, Russell Wilson, 33, was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos back in March of this year. The football star played for the team for a decade and led the Seahawks to their only championship. Yet and still, it seems fans had no warm welcome for their former quarterback upon his rivalry return.

Speaking on the matter, Wilson stated:

“It didn’t bother me, you know, it’s a hostile environment, it always has been. I didn’t expect them to give a round of applause every once in a while,”

Adding:

“For me personally, I didn’t waiver…..They may cheer for you they may boo you, they’ll love you one day and they’ll hate you the next, thats sports …at the end of the day I’m gonna keep competing, keep battling.”

Though Wilson and the Brancos took a narrow defeat to the Seahawks, the father of three seemed to be in good spirits following the games end. Wilson even showed love to the place he called home for more than 10 years, stating:

“For me, Seattle’s been amazing for me. Like I said, anybody who thinks any other words, they don’t know my heart, and they don’t know how much this city has meant to me. Tonight was special, it was on the other side than I’m used to, but it was still a special environment and a place I’ve always loved.”

Shortly after being traded, Wilson signed a 5-year extension with the Broncos totalling $245 million.
