Drake Feuds With Music Critic Anthony Fantano: Your ‘Existence’ Is a 1/10

Drake is feuding with Youtube music critic, Anthony Fantano!

On Thursday night (Sept. 15), Drake shared his own direct messages to Anthony Fantano on his Instagram story, which read:

“Your existence is a light 1. And the 1 is cause you are alive,”

a sarcastic reference to Fantano’s tradition of reviewing albums on a scale from 1 to 10.

Drake continued,

“And cause you somehow wifed a Black girl. I’m feeling a light to decent 1 on your existence.”

Anthony Fantano wasted no time and took to Instagram Live to share with his followers that the Canadian rapper slid into his DM’s. He posted a screenshot of the DM and said,

“Essentially what happened is that for reasons unknown to me, Drake was in his feelings, as he does tend to be.”

He then took it a step further. In a reference to rumors about Drake’s friendship with 18-year-old “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown, Fantano added:

“Why is Drake messaging me? I’m not 18 years of age. That’s kinda weird… This man is familiar enough with me to know my rating system, which is kind of odd. Seems a little obsessed.”

He continued:

“This is why he has ghostwriters. Because this is the quality of insult when you get when that man is working solo dolo. If I wanted a good insult in my inbox, he would have had to have paid somebody else to come in and do it.”

The controversial music critic then talked about his decision to not respond to Drake’s message and proclaimed that “Fantano gets the W today.” He said,

“I’m gonna leave Drake on read just like all the other thirsty bitches in my DMs. Another angry bitch in my DMs. I don’t need another one… I left Drake on read just like so many women from the past. I’m just one more in a long line [who] left that man on read.”

He goes on to criticize the ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper for exposing the private messages and bringing unnecessary attention:

“C’mon dude, you leaked your own DMs onto the internet. That’s sad. That’s pathetic. I don’t even have a million followers. How do you let me get under your skin like that?”

Fantano added:

“No hard feelings against Drake. I think Drake for the most part is an artist who has made some great tracks. He’s had some great records drop… He’s got a lot of fantastic hits… He’s got a lot of tracks and records that I don’t care for and that I don’t like. It’s a range.”
