Real Housewives of Potomac’s Ashley Darby Admits She Thinks About Reconciling w/ Estranged Husband Because He’s A Good Father + Says She’s Open To Dating, But Terrified At The Thought

Reality TV star Ashley Darby is getting candid about her post separation life.

The Real Housewives Of Potomac cast member revealed she still wonders about sparking her marriage back up when her family is all together. As previously reported Ashley Darby, 34, announced she was splitting with her husband Michael Darby, 63, back in April of this year. The two share two sons together, 3-year-old Dean and 1-year-old Dylan.

While discussing adjusting to single life and having thoughts on getting back with her ex, Darby stated:

“I thought it would get easier, but it’s been about six months now and it’s still so hard,”

She continued:

“There’s some moments of missing our relationship and when I see him being a really good dad it’s like, ‘Oh man, could I? Should I?’ because he is still a great dad and a hands-on parent and that’s what I find so attractive about him.”

During their time on RHOP, many fans were often critical of the way Michael treated his then wife. Social media users even went as far as urged Ashley to leave the marriage on several occasions. Despite, Darby is adamant that the added pressure of reality TV had nothing to do with the couples split. She claims the relationship ended due to Michael’s “inconsistencies” and “trust issues”. Reportedly, a source close to the couple stated:
“They’ve been having serious problems for about a year now. There’s been a visceral disconnect between them as a couple. For Ashley, the inconsistencies within the relationship and trust issues led to the split.”
The mother of two also opened up about how her dating life has been since the split. Ashley says that while she does want to give it a try, the thoughts of meeting new potential lovers in todays age is “petrifying”. She stated:
“When I was dating before Michael, there was no online dating — the whole landscape looked so different and honestly it’s petrifying now,”

She continued:
“The stories I hear and all these wolves in sheeps’ clothing. I’m definitely going very, very snail-paced slow. I’m a little scared.”

We hope that Ashley has nothing but success as she continues to heal through her the end of her marriage.
