Chloe Bailey Defends Normani After Social Media Users Criticize Her Slow Release In Music & Compare The Two Singers: Y’all Can Kiss Our Black A**es, From What I’ve Seen She Works Very Hard!

Breakout singing sensation Chloe Bailey is combatting negativity aimed at her fellow singer Normani.

The “Treat Me” artist hopped on Twitter’s livestream recently to reprimand those constantly pitting the two singers against each other. Normani, 26, has recently received a bit of criticism from fans who aren’t happy with the musician being slow to release new music. The “Motivation” singer recently lashed out at one user who suggested she wasn’t “motivated” to make music anymore. However Chloe Bailey, 24, shut down the notion, stating she sympathizes with her fellow artist who she knows to be a very hard worker.

Speaking on the matter, Bailey – who goes by the stage name Chloe – stated:

“Speaking of Normani, y’all can kiss our black a**es.”

She continued:

“Let me tell you something, I love Normani. She is a bad b*tch. Her body is out of this world. I wish I had her t*tties, and she’s a great dancer and performer. You guys don’t know half the sh*t that us as Black women in the music industry go through and from what I’ve seen she works very hard. That’s why I sympathize so much because I feel like sometimes we go through the same thing. But nobody knows that.”

Following Normani, real name Normani Kordei Hamilton, ending things with her former group 5th Harmony, the artist was one of three of the groups members to heavily pursue a solo career – with latin artist Camilla Cabello, arguably being the only one with a name more notable than Normani. The singer went on to have several chart topping hits including “Dancing With A Stranger”, a duet with Sam Smith and “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B.

However, the artist revealed there were some personal struggles she was dealing with, preventing her from going as hard in music as she’d like. Normani seemingly pushed through and gave commendable performances. The singer has graced the stage of late night talk shows as well as several MTV awards over the past few years. Still, fans continued to call the singers musical integrity into question. Especially with the rise of Chloe following her hits “Have Mercy”, “Treat Me” and “Surprise”. Fans were in a frenzy after Chloe received her first solo performance slot at the 2021 MTV awards while Normani was originally left off the line up.

Chloe went on in the live to address those who attempt to compare the two singers, stating:

“I hate seeing how you guys will pit us against each other….There can be multiple phenomenally bad a** b*tches  who can perform they a**es off, it does not just have to be one,”

Normani

And continued:

“Please. I don’t like drama. Yes, this is a very competitive industry and whatever but I don’t thrive on drama or negativity to other people or even towards me.”

It seems Normani and Chloe are on the same page, as the singer retweeted the live video with the caption:

“and leave her tf alone”

We love to see Black women united, and look forward to watching both young artists continue to shine!

Do you agree with Chloe’s stance on pitting artists against each other? Tell us in the comments!
