R. Kelly’s Former Crisis Manager, Darrell Johnson, Is Being Accused Of Scamming $70K From A Man In D.C: He’s Not Going To Stop, I’m Hoping This Brings Exposure To Him
R. Kelly’s former crisis manager has seemingly landed in more legal problems.

According to reports, R. Kelly’s former crisis manager, Darrell Tracy Johnson, is being accused by a man from D.C of scamming him out of thousands of dollars. In a recent interview, the victim, Markell Johnson, alleged that he lost $70,000 and has nothing to his name besides empty promises following the bad business transaction. Markell Johnson, 26, said:
“It was like fear almost, like really? I’m in something that I never thought I would be in.”
Markell Johnson contacted Darrell after a partner defaulted on a loan. The businessman explained:
“He says, ‘oh, that’s me.’ This is like, my expertise. He said, ‘I’m effective. I can do this, you know, within a month or so.'”
Within days, Markell claims Darrell requested that he pay for attorneys, debt collectors, and even help from the U.S. Marshals Service. Markell said:
“Darrell’s original fee started at $15,000, and then he said I had to pay someone $3,000. I actually have no idea what that person was paid for.”
A few months went by and Markell lost more than $70,000. He revealed:
“He promised me that he was going to be able to recoup, you know, this debt that was lost.”
He admitted:
“He’s not going to stop. I’m hoping this brings the exposure to him. This is ongoing.”
Today, Markell says he is doing his best to financially survive. He elaborated:
“It’s been burdensome to be in this struggling position.”
He continued:
“We’re really, you know, down to the wire of like, can we do this? Can we not do this?”
He added:
“Then of course it bleeds into personal side of like we can’t do things that we have maybe planned for my family because these funds came from everything.”
Reports state that Darrell is accused of the same crimes in Texas where he’s facing theft and fraud charges. An attorney representing the alleged thief claims he turned himself in to Texas authorities for a separate case.
