Real Housewives of Potomac’s Mia Thornton Is Not Proud of Throwing a Drink in Dr. Wendy Osefo’s Face: I’m going to work on tossing things.

Season 7 of Real Housewives of Potomac appears to be quite messy for Mia Thornton and Dr. Wendy Osefo.

Viewers of the Bravo reality television series witnessed Mia Thornton toss a martini in the face of Wendy Osefo during the teaser for the upcoming season of RHOP, which premieres on October 9. Mia Thornton is adamant that she was provoked, despite the fact that she is not proud of her behavior.

“I would just say sometimes people talk too much.”

Mia, who has a reputation for hurling objects in people’s faces during disputes (she once tossed a salad in Candiace Dillard‘s face in season 6), is now feeling remorse.

She added,

“I do not think that anybody deserves to have a glass [thrown] in their face. I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. I have this thing with food, and it flying in the air, clearly.”

Wendy Osefo has referred to the beverage hurl as “unwarranted” and even suggested that it was a ploy for a memorable “‘Housewives’ moment.” Regardless of her motives, Mia holds herself accountable and stated she will try to handle situations better in the future. She said,

“I’m going to work on tossing things. … I immediately go into this, like, ‘Oh, my gosh Mia, no one deserves to have anything thrown at them.’ Like, that’s real rude. I will own that. Self-accountability 101. It’s not the nicest thing to do to anybody.”

Their cast-mate and close friend Karen Huger was caught in the middle as Mia threw the glass of booze of Wendy. Wendy responded by calling Mia a “crater-faced bi*ch” — words that she admits hurts her feelings.

Whether or not she is able to establish a close friendship with Wendy, Mia seemingly has a lot of love for the professor, writer, public speaker and political commentator. In reference to Wendy’s accomplishment, she said,

“At the end of the day, we may have this love-hate toward each other. It’s like the power of the boss queens. She’s such a phenomenal female. … She’s a powerhouse, and she’s brilliant, if you ask me, and I think when you put two type A personalities together, there’s going to be some tensions — or some martini tosses.”

Following Monique Samuels‘ departure from the series in season 5, Mia joined RHOP in season 6. Wendy joined in the fifth season.
