Rihanna Talks About Her Decision To Do The Super Bowl, Relationship w/ A$AP Rocky, & Being A New Mom: The Baby Comes Into Play & Then Everything Shifts
Rihanna is opening up about motherhood and the big shift it has caused in her everyday life.
During a recent interview with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans, Rihanna, 34, got candid about her life as a new mom and having to make quite a few adjustments. She said,
“The baby comes into play and then everything shifts, that’s the number one priority…You can’t delay a baby, you can’t push back the due date–it’s coming. So things are going to have to adjust and that’s a challenge in itself and I love it.”
When asked what part of motherhood surprised her the most, the singer-turned-business-mogul had this to say:
“Motherhood is a whole other beast, like life starts over when you become a parent. It’s life that you’ve never known before. You get a second full book, not a chapter, it’s like a new book completely.”

Rihanna continued,
“The beginning is like you’re trippin [on] acid everyday. It’s wild, trippy as h*ll….You look at him and he’s yours but he’s a stranger and he’s new and you’re learning him as he’s learning you and the world. It’s an amazing experience.”

When discussing her upcoming Super Bowl Halftime performance, the “Diamonds” singer admitted that she was pretty apprehensive before making her final decision.
Rihanna explained,
“It definitely was not a ‘yeah.’ It was like, ‘alright, let me think about it.’ I delayed and delayed and delayed it and it was probably one of the latest announcements they’ve had. But I really started to think about it and truly consider it when I was going through my music and I realized I got some sh*t. I can celebrate this.”
When asked if her partner and father of her child, ASAP Rocky, wanted to be a part of her Halftime performance, Rihanna revealed that he played a big part in her decision to accept the Super Bowl offer. She said,
“He was one of my biggest supporters in making the decision to do the Super Bowl. He was like, ‘You got this, you can do this.'”

After reports began to pour in that the international pop star was in talks to be the next Super Bowl Halftime show headliner, the Bad Gal officially confirmed the news in September! Rihanna posted a picture with her unique hand tattoo holding an NFL football to her Instagram page confirming the reports to be true.
