Rihanna Set To Headline 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show!

Looks like Rihanna fans will get a treat from their favorite singer next year!

After reports began to pour in that the international pop star was in talks to be the next Super Bowl Halftime show headliner, the Bad Gal has officially confirmed the news! Robyn ‘Rihanna‘ Fenty, 34, posted a picture with her unique hand tattoo holding a NFL football to her instagram page earlier today (September 25th), confirming the reports to be true.

The news comes just days after rumors swirled that country super star Taylor Swift would be taking the coveted slot. Reports claim that though the “Shake It Off” singer was offered the job, she turned it down until she’s finished rerecording her first six albums. Swift famously fought with music exec Scooter Braun for the rights to her master’s, after he reportedly purchased her catalogue without her knowledge.

It seems following the rejection from Swift, Super Bowl execs turned their sights back to Rihanna. The “Diamonds” singer has reportedly been in talks to headline the show quite a few times. However, it seems Jay Z and Roc Nation were the only ones to convince the Barbados born artist to join the long list of half time performing greats, such as Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, and many more. Roc Nation reposted Rih’s picture with the caption:

“Let’s GO – @badgalriri@NFL#SBLVII@AppleMusic@NFLonFOX”
Fans were obviously ecstatic at the news, with many of them taking to her comments to show their anticipation for the show. This will mark Rihanna’s first performance since giving birth to her son with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky back in May.
The 2023 Super Bowl will take place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., on Feb. 12, 2023.
