Bishop Lamor Whitehead isn’t taking scrutiny from anyone anymore!
According to reports, Bishop Lamor Whitehead has filed a lawsuit against a local New York radio station that he alleges aired false claims about him. Bishop Whitehead is suing Tarsha Jones (aka Miss Jones), the morning host of 94.7 The Block, in the New York County Supreme Court, alleging that she promoted lies surrounding his church burglary. The lawsuit states:
“On or about 9/13/2022, Miss Jones, on her morning radio show on 94.7 The Block, said that Bishop Whitehead: is a ‘drug dealer,’ ‘using the church to hide that old drug money;’ ‘assaulted the young lady,’ and ‘[his] church is where he’s probably still doing his dirty work.'”

Bishop Whitehead’s attorney claims Tarsha Jones’ statements are false and that they have “injured [the] plaintiff’s reputation as a pastor.” The host also allegedly implied the 44-year-old is involved in criminal activity, which affected his congregation. The Brooklyn native’s lawsuit seeks $50 million in defamation damages from Jones and Paramount.
As previously reported, on July 24 Bishop Whitehead, who served five years behind bars for identity theft and grand larceny, and his wife were robbed for almost a million dollars in jewelry during his sermon. Caught on the livestream, Bishop Whitehead is seen on camera dropping to the floor as three masked gunmen entered the church to grab the merchandise.
The Brooklyn Bishop was also sued last year after being accused of stealing $90,000 in retirement savings from one of his parishioners named Pauline Anderson. Pauline Anderson claimed she was persuaded to invest her life savings into one of his firms, Lamor Whitehead Inc., and that Bishop Whitehead promised to assist her in owning a home despite her bad credit history.
