Lil Uzi Vert Scores First Diamond Certification For 2017 Hit Song “XO TOUR Llif3”

 

Congratulations are in order for Lil Uzi Vert!

The rapper, who uses pronouns they/them, just received their first Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America thanks to their infectious 2017 song “XO TOUR Llif3.”

Diamond awards are given out for 10 million units sold, and “XO TOUR Llif3” is above the mark at 11 million units sold to date. Produced by TM88 and JW Lucas, the track peaked at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Lil Uzi Vert’s highest-charting single as a solo artist until the release of “Futsal Shuffle 2020,” which peaked at number five. “XO TOUR Llif3” is seemingly Lil Uzi Vert’s most popular song with over one billion streams on Spotify.

Uzi’s label boss DJ Drama told sources that the song was actually in jeopardy of being leaked after Uzi lost their phone while on tour with The Weeknd at the time. To get ahead of the leak, Drama says they put out a preliminary EP on SoundCloud – “Luv Is Rage 1.5” – with “XO TOUR Llif3” being a featured track.

It looks like Lil Uzi Vert has been in a celebratory mood lately. As previously reported the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper surprised their girlfriend City Girls rapper JT with a 2023 Rolls-Royce Truck for her birthday this past weekend. Footage of the surprise shows the Philadelphia native catching JT off-guard in a parking lot where she’s left stunned and emotional at the sight of the elegant black SUV, which was displayed with a red bow on the hood. The City Girls member then thanked the 27-year-old artist with a huge hug, before wrapping her arm around her new black x black Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
