Porsha Williams Shares Her Mother-In-Law Has Passed Away Following A Battle w/ Dementia

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Porsha Williams has recently shared that her mother-in-law, Martina Guobadia, has passed away after suffering from Dementia. Over the weekend, Porsha Williams’ husband Simon Guobadia posted a heartfelt message about the passing of his mother and the importance that she carried in his life. In part, he said,

“She was peaceful, loving, soft spoken, endearing to everyone she ever met. She had nothing but kind words for everyone she ever encountered.”

Today (Jan. 9) Porsha Williams shared her own IG post dedicated to her mother-in-law. She wrote,

“My heart is with my love today after the passing of his mummy Mrs. Martina Guobadia. His mother suffered from dementia but the past couple times including the time I was able to meet her she was in good spirits and aware. I thank God for those moments for Simon and i’m blessed to have been able to be in her presence. She was a warm and kind and very loving mother. Gone from this earth, yet she will never be forgotten. Thank you all for the love and prayers that you have sent to the Guobadia family at this time.”

After Porsha Williams shared the heartwarming post, the reality TV star’s comment section flooded with uplifting messages and comments of support. Porsha’s old cast member Phaedra Parks and Real Housewives franchise member Karen Huger both sent their deepest regards as well.

This tragedy comes almost two months after Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia tied the knot in Georgia. According to reports, the couple had a traditional Nigerian wedding in addition to an American wedding. Their guest list featured many celebrities, such as Yandy, Kandi Burruss, and, Cynthia Bailey.
