Kim Kardashian’s Former PR Strategist Claims 2012 Flour Bomb Attack Was Staged ‘To Create A Media Moment’
Kim Kardashian’s former media strategist claims that her infamous 2012 flour bomb attack was actually staged to capture a “media moment.”
According to reports, Sheeraz Hasan, a PR professional who allegedly worked with Kim Kardashian starting around 2005, detailed the incident in Channel 4’s new documentary, “The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Industry.”
Sheeraz Hasan alleged that the incident was planned to help promote the reality star’s True Reflection perfume. The former representative also claimed that he received Kim Kardashian’s permission to get flour bombed.
Sheeraz Hasan said that they had “discussions” with Kardashian and her team and she was “willing to get flour bombed” before the event so that the media would report on the launch.
The incident was also captured for the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” series. In the episode, the Skims founder speculated that the attacker was an animal rights activist. The attacker was said to have shouted “fur hag” before throwing the powder at Kardashian.
However, according to Hasan, he told Kardashian at the time,
“‘Okay this is what’s going to happen, you’re going to be fine, you’re going to be safe, but we’re going to create a media moment. If we create media gold, guess what’s going to happen? Everyone’s going to be talking about your perfume, everyone’s going to buy it.’”
If you didn’t already know, back in 2012, headlines about Kardashian’s alleged attack swarmed the internet after the 42-year-old socialite was flour bombed at her perfume launch at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. Kardashian did not press charges, and the attacker was later released from police custody, according to reports. Hasan has also denied PETA’s lack of involvement in the incident.
