Cardi B Granted Community Service Extension After Failing To Complete Portion Of Plea Deal In Her Assault Case

Cardi B has received a new deadline to complete her community service portion of her plea deal in her strip club assault case.

As previously reported, rap star Cardi B was accused of orchestrating an attack against sisters, Jade and Baddie Gi, at Queens’ Angels Gentleman’s Club on August 29, 2018. Allegedly, this all went down because Cardi B believed her husband Offset had slept with Jade. The “Be Careful” rapper was reportedly arrested and booked a few months later for her alleged role in the strip club fight.

According to reports, Cardi, 30, copped a plea deal last September for the incident. She plead guilty to 3rd-degree assault and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors, and received 15 days of community service as part of the deal. Cardi’s plea deal also requires her to stay away from the two women for 3 years.

On Tuesday (January 17), the mother-of-two reportedly appeared at a courthouse in Queens, where the judge gave Cardi until March 1 to complete her sentence, which includes 15 days of community service. Reports also claim that the New York native was supposed to complete her community service by Tuesday, but so far, Cardi has done zero hours.

Cardi’s representative, Drew Findling, said,

“Personally and professionally, Cardi is dedicated to community service and charitable endeavors. She therefore appreciates the court giving her until March 1st to complete her community service commitment in Queens, New York.”
