King Von Allegedly Placed $100K Hit On FBG Duck
According to newly released FBI documents, late rapper King Von allegedly placed a 100K bounty on FBG Duck.
According to the rap blog Chicago Scene 88, an interview was conducted with a witness back in August 2020, just weeks after FBG Duck’s murder. The witness claimed that King Von allegedly placed a $50K hit on Duck before increasing the award to $100K. The witness also claimed that Von celebrated FBG Duck’s murder by purchasing necklaces for those in his crew that are allegedly responsible for his death.
Reportedly, FBI documents also revealed the person they interviewed identified the alleged shooters. The witness said Marcus Smart, better known as MuWop, carried out “several murders on behalf of O-Block Black Disciples.” Documents also allegedly stated that the gun used in Duck’s murder can be linked to dozens of other murders in Chicago.
According to reports, FBG Duck was gunned down on August 4, 2020, in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Authorities said four people got out of two different vehicles and opened fire.
In October 2021, five suspects–Charles “C-Murda” Liggins, Kenneth “Kenny” Roberson, Tacarlos “Los” Offerd, Christopher “C Thang” Thomas, and Marcus “Muwop” Smart were arrested for the murder.
Following FBG Duck’s death, King Von took to social media claiming both rappers had squashed their beef. Von tweeted,
“Me and Duck settled Our differences right before he passed. We was talking bout bringing everybody together as a whole n changing da community for the better. Imma still stand on dat sh*t. Every step of the way imma be thinking of u. Even doe u dissed my dead homies and family.”
However, FBG Duck’s mother later shut down Von’s claims, calling them lies. King Von was also tragically gunned down in November 2020, just three months after Duck’s passing.
