Trina Opens Up About Not Having Children, Says Mother’s Death & Three Miscarriages Made Her Question If She Would Experience Motherhood
Katrina Laverne Taylor— better known as Trina — is showing her vulnerable side as she opens up about not having children and losing her mother.
During an upcoming appearance on Caresha Please hosted by Yung Miami, Trina discussed her reasons for not having children.
After being asked if she ever wanted kids, Trina, 44, shared,
“Well, after three miscarriages, I would’ve had three kids. That was a lot for me…The first one was — I don’t think I understood it too much [because] I was younger. Then once I got older, there was the next one I was like ‘okay, what does that mean? What does the miscarriage mean?’ Like I just didn’t really get it.”

She continued,
“Then, it just became a point like, third miscarriage, OK…Then, when my mom got sick, honestly, I just went into this phase of ‘I don’t even want to have a kid and my mom is not here.’ Like, how do I raise a kid without my mom?”
Trina added,
“That’s not the happiest thing for me, honestly. Even to this day still I’m thinking, I have like, two years to have a kid maybe? I’ll give myself two years to have a kid.”
Even though Trina tends to be private about her personal life, in 2021 reports surfaced that she got engaged to Raymond Taylor. Trina reportedly shared the exciting news during a live stream video with fitness influencer/businesswomen Stormy Wellington. While on the live stream, Stormy said,
“Trina that ring is everything! I love that ring.”
Trina replied,
“Thank you! I had a big night last night. [I got engaged] last night, yeah. I don’t even believe I’m still at work today.”
She added,
“Yes! Oh my God! So it was a long story.”

Trina has also previously spoken about their relationship on Love & Hip Hop: Miami.
The full conversation between Trina and Yung Miami airs tonight (Jan. 19) night on Revolt.
