Anthony Anderson Set To Play Miracle Car Salesman In Upcoming Amazon Comedy Series

Anthony Anderson is back in another film!

According to reports, actor Anthony Anderson will be starring in an Amazon comedy series  titled “Miraculous.” The official logline states the single-camera show would focus on Anthony Anderson’s character, “a happily amoral car salesman, who one day, for no particular good reason, walks on water. A miracle of God might just be the worst thing to happen to him in his life.”

The film originally came from writer and executive producer Blake Masters, with Anderson set to executive produce while also acting in the series. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh London Redman of Berlanti Productions are also executive producers, as will David Madden and E. Brian Dobbins. The comedy will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and Amazon Studios, with Berlanti Productions currently under an overall deal at WBTV.

As you may know, this would be the first potential comedy show Anderson, 52, is featured in since “Black-ish” ended last year at ABC after eight seasons. The California native earned seven Emmy nominations for best actor in a comedy series for his work on “Black-ish.” Most recently, his voice was featured on the Disney+ animated series “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder ” and reprised Det. Kevin Bernard role in the revival of “Law & Order” at NBC. He also appears in Netflix’s “You People,” which debuted last month.

As previously reported, the game show host signed off on court documents agreeing to pay his former wife, Alvina Anderson, spousal support. The ex-couple also agreed to sell and split their property located in Encino, California. The court ordered the “Barbershop” actor to co-sign with Alvina Anderson on a 12-month lease so she has somewhere to live until further notice. The amount of spousal support will be agreed upon by the ex-couple’s joint forensic accountant after their finances are individually investigated.
