Songstress Erykah Badu is apparently rumored to have an incredible superpower.

While visiting the Tamron Hall Show recently, the soul singer opened up about the “urban legend” that men who look her in the eyes become instantly smitten.

After the shows host Tamron Hall asked the 51-year-old if she’s aware of stories that once men stare at her they fall in love, Badu jokingly responded:

“That’s why I try to wear hats…I don’t know what’s happening.”

Humoring the audience, the “On & On” singer added:

“Women too, and children and animals…any living breathing thing.”

Looking at Badu’s dating history, it’s not a hard notion to believe. Since the ’90s, the four-time Grammy-winning artist has publicly dated several industry greats. Her list of previous lovers includes famed Outkast lead singer André 3000 – who the musician dated from 1995–1999, as well as Chicago artist Common, who dated Badu from 2000 – 2002.

It also seems the musician is able to keep friendly relationships with her former partners. Badu and Common sporadically link up to perform their 2002 hit “Love Of My Life” from the film “Brown Sugar.” Additionally, the soul singer is reportedly gearing up to produce a documentary about another ex, rapper The D.O.C., who Badu dated from 2003 – 2004.

What adds even more to the Badu legend, is that the singer almost immediately sold out of the incense she released back in 2020 – which was allegedly made in the scent of her lady parts. However, while speaking to Hall, the singer made it clear that her superpower has nothing to do with sex. She stated:

“My power…I think it’s indescribable and the bedroom, that’s not where you’re gonna find it because my magic doesn’t lie between my thighs, it lies between my ears.”
