Erykah Badu’s Daughter Puma Responds To Criticism Surrounding Her Latest IG Post w/ Her Mom: I’m An Adult, What’s The Issue?
Erykah Badu and her daughter Puma Curry are calling out critics who are seemingly bothered by their thick genes.
Over the weekend Erykah Badu’s daughter Puma Curry shared a series of images on Instagram that feature her famous mother. In the now-viral pictures, the mother-daughter-due were photographed from the back in v-cut leggings. Puma Curry, 18, wore a black short-sleeved crop top to match her leggings, and her mother paired a pink and green top with her unique bottoms.

Despite the image seemingly being harmless, many people online had a lot to say about the curvy women and their poses. Puma Curry responded to users who frowned upon her posing with her mother in “form fitting pants.” On Monday (Jan. 23) Puma Curry questioned:
“I posted a pic (not my mom) if me and my mama badu in some cute form fitting pants. I’m an adult. What’s the real issue? Let’s discuss/ -pumacurry”
Erykah Badu jumped to her daughter’s defense and commented:
“Well…”

Curry took to her Instagram story minutes later to note how the images shook the internet. She wrote:
“Accidentally broke the internet… Maybe it needed some breaking”

About two hours later, Badu shared her daughter’s post to her Instagram story to insert her own caption. The singer said:
“Case closed.”

The songwriter, born Erica Abi Wright, then shared the image that initially caused the internet stir, reminding users why they were “uncomfortable.” She wrote:
“This the pic u posted got ‘em uncomfortable. Wait till y’all see our insides (heart, mind, spirit $)

After Curry and Badu initially shared the images online, they became a trending topic on Twitter as people debated if the post was inappropriate or not.

In other Erykah Badu news, the entertainer opened up about her journey with menopause last year and how she’s not allowing it to slow her down. As previously reported, last October the “Queen of Neo Soul” took to Instagram to announce that she’s gracefully going through menopause. She wrote:
“Peace Peace I’m 51 . let’s talk about the flowering of menopause… Blessed with The time when A QUEEN truly TAKES HER THROWN.”
She continued:
“It can be a lonely place if we aren’t careful. Get your nutrients (mind , body & soul) Share your feelings and thoughts with people who love you. I miss the thought of having lil babies in my belly and periods and womb stuff like that . BUT I AM NOW ABLE TO SHARE MY WISDOM AND JOYFULLY GROW INTO THE GLITTER DRIPPING PHOENIX CREATED THRU THE FIRE.”
The mother of three added:
“In other words … bitch it’s hot .don’t talk to me . lol. @hippiechiklifestyle on the camera and face … mood swings by badu #moodswingsbelike”
