Kodak Black No Longer Wants To Work w/ Drake After He Made ‘Her Loss’ w/ 21 Savage

Kodak Black isn’t into making music with Drake at the moment.

During an Instagram Live stream that took place on Tuesday (Feb. 21) the Florida rapper shared that he had intended to drop a project with Drake but the debut of the Canadian rapper’s collab “Her Loss” album with 21 Savage made him reconsider. Kodak Black said:

“I had told Drake I ain’t wanna do no collab actually.”

He continued:

“No songs or no album, ’cause we supposed to been did a whole album together before him and lil buddy did that sh*t.”

The 25-year-old added:

“I had told him I wanted to wait, like 2023, after February.”

Last year, 21 Savage and Kodak Black got into a disagreement after the London native alleged he can defeat any of his fellow 2016 XXL Freshmen in a Vezuz battle. 21 Savage said:

“I’m smoking Kodak. Nah, Kodak got some sh*t, though. It just depends on how a n-gga play it, how it goes. N-ggas be acting like I don’t got that sh*t, that’s what be the problem. People be forgetting. I don’t know what n-ggas be thinking.”

Kodak, born Dieuson Octave, fired back:

“21 don’t want the smokes, man. That n-gga ain’t say nothing yet. I done DM’d that n-gga. Man, wassup? Run it. I done hit Verzuz. Don’t be capping on this internet, homie. You ain’t ready to stand up in that fire, boy.”

The Haitian native hinted at a collaboration project with Drizzy in June 2022, announcing that they recorded a lot of tracks together. Kodak said:

“Me and Drake, we got so much music.”

He added:

“It’s really on, like, whenever bruh might feel like he be ready and stuff. Or when he be like, ‘We gon’ drop the album, we gon’ do this or we gon’ do [that].’ It’s really on him. We got a lot of songs, though.”

As previously reported, 21, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and the OVO rapper debuted their joint studio album “Her Loss” last November. The 16-track album landed at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 with 404,000 album-equivalent units.

According to N.O.R.E., the streets of Miami claimed Atlanta rapper Future is also upset that Drake did a project with 21. As you may recall, in 2015 Drake and Future dropped their collaboration album “What A Time To Be Alive.”

N.O.R.E. said earlier this year:

“More so, when you do a whole album with 21 Savage and with all due respect to 21 Savage, it’s like you’re putting 21 Savage on that level now. Like even though he probably was on that level but now you putting him on that level. You putting him on the level of Future. You know what I’m saying? Future is arguably one of the most influential artists ever.”
