August Alsina — Insiders Claim That Despite Reports, Singer Hasn’t Watched Chris Rock’s Netflix Special Where The Comedian Jokes About His ‘Entanglement’ w/ Jada Pinkett Smith
From the looks of it, August Alsina won’t be tuning into Chris Rock’s Netflix special.
Reportedly, singer August Alsina has been working hard and hasn’t seen Chris Rock’s recently debuted Netflix comedy special “Selective Outrage,” which briefly touched on his entanglement with Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Sources close to August Alsina denied claims of the reality star finding Chris Rock’s stand-up special to be “funny.” The source mentioned:
“This is a lie.”
They added:
“Mr. Alsina has not seen Chris Rock’s special at all, as he’s been busy on tour.”
As previously reported, during Rock’s Netflix special, currently listed as the No. 1 on the streaming network, the Grammy-Award winner addressed being assaulted by Will Smith at the 2022 Academy Award Ceremony.
Over the weekend, Rock, 58, performed “Selective Outrage” live on Netflix in Baltimore, where he used the last 10 minutes to give his side of the story on the incident involving Will Smith, who is now banned from the Oscars for a decade.
The “Everybody Hates Chris” star called out Jada Pinkett Smith for having a rumored affair with Alsina, 30, where in the past she noted to preferably label it an “entanglement” that occurred while she was separated from her husband. During his set, Rock said:
“Everybody knows that had nothing to do with me. I didn’t have any entanglements.”
The actor continued:
“His wife was f*ck*ng her son’s friend.”
The Brooklyn native also said:
“Now, I normally would not talk about this sh*t, But for some reason, these n*gg*s put that sh*t on the internet. I have no idea why two people that talented would do something that low-down.”
As previously reported, during an episode of the “Red Table Talk,” the couple set down and emotionally addressed the rumors regarding their relationship drama. Smith, 54, and Jada, 51, even bumped fists amid chanting “bad marriage for life.” Rock, born Christopher Julius Rock, added:
“We’ve all been cheated on, none of us have ever been interviewed by the person who cheated on us. Why the f*ck would you do that sh*t? She hurt him way more than I did… Everybody called him a b*tch, and who [did] he hit? Me!”
