‘RHOP’ Star Gizelle Bryant Seemingly Insinuates Juan Dixon’s Firing From Coppin State University Was Due To Bad Season, Not Sexual Harassment Suit He Was Named In
Reality TV star Gizelle Bryant has her own opinion about Robyn Dixon’s husband losing his job.
The ‘RHOP’ cast member spoke about Juan Dixon’s firing during an interview recently, where she seemingly suggested the termination was solely due to the team underperforming, not his involvement in an ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit against him and the school.
Speaking on the matter, Gizelle Bryant, 52, stated:
“I think you know the coaching world is tough…he was in a tough position, they did have a losing season,”
She continued:
“I think these universities kind of look at it as you’re as good as your last season,”

While Coppin State University did in fact have a poor winning season, the basketball team’s efforts were mostly overshadowed by scandal at the school. As we previously reported, Dixon was named in a sexual harassment lawsuit brought by one of the athletes he formerly coached at the school.
Reportedly, the TV husband was complicit while student Ibn Williams was allegedly being harassed and sexually exploited by Dixon’s colleague Lucian Brownlee. The accused is a former student and athlete who was eventually hired as the school’s Director of Player Development and Director of Basketball Operations. The suit claims Brownlee tricked Williams into sending explicit photos and videos by faking an online persona before asking for sexual favors. When Williams refused, Brownlee allegedly distributed the intimate images online, costing the student his scholarship and a load of trauma.

Dixon was said to have been alerted to the situation prior to Brownlee’s promotion in the suit, but both he and the University allegedly failed to take any action. It’s unclear the exact parameters of Dixon’s firing, but many have suspected it ultimately came down to the reputation of the school and his involvement in the scandal. Brownlee was also terminated, and Williams ultimately transferred institutions.
Despite everything, however, Bryant says she’s certain her besties man will “bounce back.” She added during the interview:
“Juan, if anything I know about him, he’ll bounce back and he’ll be fine.”
