Gizelle Bryant Faces Backlash For Using ‘F Slur’ While Speaking About Jussie Smollett’s Hate Crime Hoax

Gizelle Bryant is seemingly not a fan favorite on Real Housewives of Potomac, and she likely just dug herself into a deeper hole after using the “F slur.”

The reality television star shared the word while speaking on her Reasonably Shady podcast about the fake hate crime that involved former Empire star Jussie Smollett and Nigerian brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo.

Gizelle Bryant said,

“So what he did was, in case you guys don’t remember, was he staged a hate crime. So they were supposed to put a noose around his neck, they were supposed to call him f*ggot or something, or gay Empire boy or something like that.'”

Many social media users were not here for what they considered to be Gizelle Bryant‘s ongoing display of arrogant behavior.

One Twitter user said,

“At this point Gizelle’s level of arrogance has sky rocketed. Being that they have been the center of controversy since this past season of #rhop , you would think she would be very careful with her words and what she “report”’on her podcast. Disgusting. Even to repeat It.”

Another user added,

“At a time where LGBTQ2+ hate is on the rise in your country and around the world,@GizelleBryantmust be made accountable for using a gay slur with such ease. And for @RobynDixonRHOPto co sign it by not speaking up is equally as disgusting.”

According to another Twitter user,

“@GizelleBryant should be punished for her derogatory remark on her podcast @Andy @BravoTV totally unacceptable and uncalled for #RHOP #RHUGHT3 #Disgusting #GizelleHomophobe”

Another user said,

“Absolutely disgusting @GizelleBryant always putting her foot in her mouth. This time she went to far! First “Spanish speaking” and now this! I’m done with RHOP. That’s what will happen some of us will boycott the show, it’s enough already!!”

Another user added,

“I don’t know what’s more concerning, G using the f word or the people in these comments defending her. EVEN if she is reading from an article. The f word is just as much of a slur as is the n word. Nobody should use words that belong to a community that you’re not a part of.”

As previously reported, in January 2019, Jussie Smollett claimed he was attacked by two white men who called him racist and homophobic slurs as he walked to a Chicago-based Subway around 2 a.m. The attackers allegedly placed a rope around his neck, poured an “unknown substance” on him, and yelled out “this is MAGA country” before fleeing the scene.

An investigation revealed holes in Jussie Smollett’s story and law enforcement, in turn, accused him of being responsible for the attack. The Osundairo brothers eventually came forward and claimed that Smollett paid them to carry out the fake assault.

Smollett was convicted in December 2021 after lying to authorities about the alleged attack. In March 2022, he was found guilty of making false police reports and felony disorderly conduct. The actor was sentenced to 150 days in prison and placed on 30 months of probation. However, he was released on bond while his case is on appeal.

The Osundairo brothers were able to walk away from the incident with just two years probation and a small fine for cooperating with police and coming clean about the ruse.
