Daniel Caesar Admits He Was Wrong During 2019 Rant Urging Black People To “Be Nice” To White People: ‘I’m Sorry’
Time and reflection can certainly alter perspectives.
This much certainly seems to be true for R&B singer Daniel Caesar, who recently offered a much different opinion about a previous conversation that led to people calling for his cancelation.

If you recall, back in 2019 Daniel Caesar, now 28, made headlines after addressing Black people’s behavior towards white people. The discussion was sparked after the singer felt the need to defend his friend and fellow creator YesJulz. At the time, many criticized the media personality after she verbally attacked Scottie Beam and Karen Civil online. Her actions were reportedly in response to the two influencers calling her out, and labeling her a “culture vulture”.

Initially, the “Best Part” singer stood his ground, remaining adamant what he was saying is truth. Caesar advocated during the lengthy video that Black people should attempt to “build bridges” with white people instead of being mean and confrontational. Later, the musician claimed he was actually intoxicated during the video and “trying to get canceled”.
However, during a recent interview, Caesar says after thinking on the moment he was able to recognize his errors. He stated:
“I completely understand the response…And in time, after taking time to get over myself and to really honestly look at myself and everything that was happening, I was wrong. I was wrong, and I’m sorry about that.”

Adding:
“For a long time, I was like, ‘You can’t do anything, you can’t say anything without whatever.’ You can do and say whatever you want, but it’s like for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction. And that’s physics, that’s science. That’s one of those things that the knowledge of that can literally put my mind at ease where I’m like, oh, I did deserve. What happened, happened because I deserved it, because I knocked the domino over and set a course in motion.”
Caesar was reportedly doing a promotional interview for his latest project release “Never Enough” when he was asked about the topic. It does not seem the musician had made any further comments about the situation at this time.
