‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Will Likely Jump 5 Years Into The Future: ‘Dorothy’s Not In Kansas Anymore’
More details about the highly anticipated next season of Euphoria are beginning to surface.
According to the series’ critically acclaimed costume designer, season 3 of the HBO hit is “in talks” of taking place 5 years from where the last episode ended, with the main characters out of high school.
Costuming expert Heidi Biven’s reportedly shared the details while speaking on a desire to elevate her role with the show as it continues to grow. Reportedly, she stated:
“My hope is that I will be able to take a bigger creative role within the Euphoria family, actually. There was talk of me shadowing Sam in the second season, as I’m extremely interested in directing and working with actors in that capacity, and I’ve started to do more of that [on other projects].”

Adding:
“Euphoria is my family, and I’ll do everything I can to make the third season of the show successful. I’m really excited to read the scripts. There is talk of it being approximately five years in the future, and that they’re not in high school anymore. Dorothy’s not in Kansas anymore.

Zendaya
The show stars 2x Best Actress Emmy award winner Zendaya as Rue, a drug addicted teen trying to find her way through life. Following the success of season 1, it was reported that the second season had a viewership increase of 100%. In no time, the teenage drama received a green light for season 3.

While details about the next storyline and plot have remained mostly tight lipped, rumors did swirl about contract negotiations earlier this year. Reportedly, Zendaya, 26, renegotiated her agreement with HBO, and will allegedly receive nearly $1 million per episode. Previous seasons have had each eight episodes, which could result in a nice payday for the young TV and movie star.

However, the contract reports have not been confirmed at this time.
