Quavo & Offset — Social Media Reacts To Rappers Reuniting To Celebrate Late Migos Member Takeoff’s 29th Birthday

True brotherhood is a bond that can’t ever be broken!

On Sunday (Jun. 18), Migos members Quavo and Offset were spotted together remembering their fallen groupmate, Takeoff, on what would’ve been his 29th birthday.

Captured by blogger @1GoatAlexis, the sighting of a (reportedly) estranged Quavo and Offset chopping it up on the sidelines sent social media into a complete frenzy, with many raving over the long-awaited reunion.

A Twitter user said,

“idk bout y’all but seeing Quavo & Offset come together really warms my heart.”

They added:

“I legit had a big smile on my face when I seen those pictures. Differences aside, it’s what Takeoff would’ve wanted and I’m happy they’re back speaking to each other.”

Another fan continued with the idea of Quavo and Offset joining forces for a road run in order to pay homage to the late Takeoff.

The individual tweeted,

“My wish is for them to rerelease Quavo and [Takeoff’s] album with [Offset’s] added verses so they can tour the album and honor Takeoff in the process. [It] would set out everywhere.”

The rappers were (seemingly) among other family and friends for the posthumous celebration. During the event, they sported T-shirts with Takeoff’s face on them and lit candles around a beautifully-painted mural of the Migos.

Quavo even took to his Instagram with a slide of photos from the emotional event, with an image of him and Offset rounding out the collection of flicks.

If you haven’t heard, rumors claimed that Quavo and Offset weren’t on the best of terms, even before Takeoff’s untimely death. Although unclear what (exactly) caused the initial rift between the two lyricists, their beef supposedly kicked off due to Quavo’s ex-girlfriend, rapstress Saweetie, allegedly sleeping with Offset.

Just last year, the drama heightened when news broke that Quavo and Offset got into a physical altercation backstage at the Grammys. Offset quickly denied the claim by taking to his social media and saying,

“What tf [I] look like fighting my brother yal n*ggas is crazy.”

However, leaked footage of his wife Cardi B yelling at the men amid (what appeared to be) the heated dispute told otherwise. Details from insiders suggested that the fight commenced after Quavo refused the organization’s request to have Offset accompany him for his onstage tribute performance to Takeoff.

Despite numerous supporters showing their happiness regarding the linkup, others sensed that there was still tension on the horizon based on their body language.

As previously reported, in October 2022, Takeoff was tragically murdered at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas. Reports said the shooting followed an alleged argument that ensued after a dice game. Currently, a man by the name of Patrick Clark is the prime suspect in the ongoing investigation.

In May of this year, Patrick Clark was officially indicted by a Harris County grand jury for the heinous crime against Takeoff.

Offset expressed in his recent birthday shoutout to Takeoff,

“Happy birthday rocket man. The greatest to touch a mic!! Best spirit ever!! Purest man I know your heart was golden. Bring me peace bra. We celebrate your life because you still right here. I love you gang.”
