Jada Pinkett Smith Says ‘Red Table Talk’ Is ‘Definitely Coming Back’: ‘We’ve Got Some Really Interesting Stuff Happening’
It looks like Red Table Talk will be back on our screens sooner than later.
During a recent interview, Jada Pinkett Smith spoke about her upcoming memoir, titled Worthy, and revealed that Red Table Talk is “definitely coming back.” She shared,
“We’ve had a couple platforms reach out to us. And we have some interesting avenues that we’re looking at now. You know me, I’m always looking for the next innovative thing.”
She continued,
“Actually, there’s one idea that we have in mind that I’m kind of excited about that will probably be happening, maybe, close to the release of the book. We’ve got some really interesting stuff happening with RTT. I’m excited about that journey as well.”

Jada Pinkett Smith co-hosted Red Table Talk with her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris and daughter Willow Smith. As previously reported, the popular online talk show was canceled in April after Meta’s decision to shut down all Facebook Watch original programs. Jada released a statement at the time, noting that she and her team were working on “finding a new home” for the web series.
She wrote,
“We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband. We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come. We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”

The five-season daytime Emmy Award-winning program premiered back in 2018 and addressed social and cultural issues from an intergenerational point of view. The series featured guest appearances from major stars like Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish, Matthew McConaughey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Queen Latifah.
The talk show was known for its viral episode moments, such as Jada Pinkett Smith’s sit down with her husband Will Smith, 54. As you may recall, the famed couple made headlines after they discussed Jada’s romantic “entanglement” with singer August Alsina.
As for her upcoming memoir, Jada said there is still a lot that people don’t know about her despite her being vulnerable on Red Table Talk.
“So many people feel because of my talk show Red Table Talk that they know my journey. And they really don’t. There’s been so much about my journey that I haven’t really been able to share on a format like RTT.”
She continued,
“I think people have made a lot of assumptions. And you know what? Rightfully so. I have to take ownership of that, in regards to the narrative that I’ve participated in, the falsehoods about myself.”
Jada’s memoir Worthy will be released on October 17.
