Faith Evans Settles Bitter Divorce Battle w/ Stevie J

It looks like Faith Evans and Stevie J’s messy divorce battle has finally come to a close.

Reportedly, the R&B singer has reached an agreement with ex-husband Stevie J that will end their years-long divorce battle.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Faith Evans informed the court on July 3 that she has,

“entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic support partnership rights, including support.”

The terms have yet to be revealed but it reportedly covers spousal support and attorney fees.

The filing stated,

“There are irreconcilable differences that have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage or domestic partnership, and there is no possibility of saving the marriage or domestic partnership through counseling or other means.”

As previously reported, the musical couple officially filed for divorce back in November 2021 after 3 years of marriage. They briefly reconciled before calling it quits again nearly a year later. At one point, Stevie J publicly begged Faith to forgive him and take him back. In his public apology, he wrote:

“Faith Rene Jordan I’ve hurt you, disrespected you and humiliated you in front of the world. From this day forward I promise to listen to your feelings and be more delicate with your heart.”

He continued,

“I also promise to build you up even more & to communicate daily with you, respect you and love on you until you’re as happy as you were when we got married. I’ve learned my lesson and I NEVER want to live without you because God knows I’m a better man with you and I’m asking you to find it in your heart to forgive me and allow me to rebuild our trust. Happy Mothers Day x I love you.”

Unfortunately for Stevie J, the heartfelt message wasn’t enough to keep Faith in the marriage.

In his petition, Stevie J asked the court to award him monthly spousal support. He listed the date of marriage as July 17, 2018, and the date of separation as October 19, 2021.

In response, Faith Evans demanded Stevie’s request for spousal support be denied. She also requested,

“all property acquired prior to marriage, by gift, inheritance, or devise, and after the date of separation,”

to be awarded to her.

In April, things took a turn for the worse when the “Soon As I Get Home” singer accused Stevie J of taking her 2023 Mercedes Splinter Van without her permission to attend the Coachella music festival. She filed an emergency court order amid their pending separation, asking a judge to have the music producer return the vehicle.

The musician said she purchased the car after they split, and not only wanted it back but reportedly requested that Stevie be banned from using her other vehicles as well. The legal document also reportedly cites insurance concerns, adding:

“The insurance policy does not cover [Stevie], and he is unauthorized to drive.”

Stevie publicly denied the claims.

Now, nearly three months later, it looks like the former couple has settled their divorce drama once and for all.
