Sukihana Finally Addresses Kissing Incident Involving YK Osiris: ‘I Went To My Room & I Was Crying A Little Bit’
Sukihana is finally sharing how uncomfortable she truly felt following the recent incident with YK Osiris.
During an interview on The Armon Wiggins Show, the rapper/television personality spoke in-depth about the incident in which YK Osiris kissed her as they were filming what she called a “big opportunity for her.”
Sukihana explained that she believed YK Osiris didn’t really “read the room” when he leaned in to kiss her, but she accepted his apologies because she understands that people do, in fact, make mistakes.
Even though she maintained a professional demeanor, she felt so uncomfortable in particular moment that she couldn’t continue filming.
Sukihana (real name Destiny Lanette Henderson) said,
“I don’t know the feelings that I felt, I can’t explain them, but I did feel a little bit uncomfortable. I left set and I didn’t continue filming. I went to my room and I was crying a little bit. … I didn’t say that I wanted him to do that. Because I felt like I was a little bit embarrassed.”
She continued,
“I was in my room with my team and I was just like, ‘I can’t go back out there.’ YK Osiris and his people came to my room, I didn’t come out, I didn’t want to talk, but he was coming to apologize. That happened days before it was released. Personally, I wanted to just sweep it under the rug. When it came out, it was crazy because they were coming for me a lot and I haven’t even said anything about it … before he even apologized, I already forgave him.”
Suki proceeded by noting that even though she had already forgave Osiris, she is not advocating that all those who have experienced sexual assault must also forgive people who they believe have wronged them. However, for herself and as a woman of God, she’s not upset with him.
As previously reported, Osiris eventually issued a public apology to Suki after the clip surfaced of him seemingly trying to forcibly kiss her. In a post shared to his Instagram account, he wrote,
“In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior. I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize.”
The 24-year-old rapper added,
“I have the utmost admiration for Sukihana and it was never my intention to disrespect her.”

At the time, Suki took to Twitter to share some personal details about herself, letting the public know that despite how she appears to the public, she’s sensitive and has a hard time defending herself. Suki said,
“I drink to hide that I’m very sensitive. I feel things more then the average person. I stopped drinking yesterday but today I’ve been crying all day. I asked God to strengthen me and use me to help others and to order my steps in his word. I just want to go away for awhile.”

She later added,
“I am hurt and I am scared to stand up for myself”

Regardless, Suki shared she has no ill feelings toward Osiris and she still considers him to be a good person.
