Jamie Foxx Throws Party At Rehab Facility In Chicago As He Celebrates Ongoing Recovery
It looks like Jamie Foxx‘s health is improving day by day since his medical emergency earlier this year.
According to reports, the 55-year-old Oscar winner recently threw a party to celebrate his progress. The party was held at the Chicago rehabilitation facility he has been attending.
A source shared with a publication that the actor,
“has been working really hard these last couple of months to get back to normal and has greatly improved since he first got to the facility.”
However, they noted that Jamie Foxx isn’t out of the woods just yet and is still recovering.
They added,
“He is still doing some outpatient rehab though.”

Back in April, Jamie Foxx suffered a medical complication while filming the Netflix movie Back in Action in Atlanta. At the time, his daughter Corinne Foxx provided an update to fans, stating that her famous father “experienced a medical complication.” Corinne didn’t provide in-depth details about what happened to the Day Shift actor but she did let fans know that he was already “on his way to recovery.”

Corinne Foxx wrote:
“From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
She added:
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.
Much love,
The Foxx Family.”
In May, Corinne dispelled rumors that the “In Living Color” star’s loved ones were “preparing for the worst.” She shared that her father was healing and had been out of the hospital for weeks.
She wrote,
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

Now, it appears Jamie Foxx is doing much better as he was recently spotted out and about for the first time since his hospitalization. Earlier this month, Foxx was seen cruising on a yacht on the Chicago River as he waved to fans.
Jamie Foxx was also seen swinging away at a Topgolf driving range. An eyewitness claimed that Jamie was playing better than the people he was competing against.
On a separate occasion, he was seen helping out a fan. While riding in the backseat of a chauffeur-driven SUV, Foxx’s vehicle pulled up next to a group of people riding through downtown Chicago on a pedicab. A woman on the pedicab lost her purse and somehow Jamie Foxx was able to return it to its owner. The woman thanked him profusely.
The woman who was identified as Terri “Quenni” Glenn later spoke on the moment and recalled,
“I said, ‘Jamie! Jamie!’ I said, ‘Are you feeling good?’ and he said, ‘I’m feeling good.'”
As he was getting back into the SUV, Glenn thanked him and he said, “You’re welcome, baby.”
While Foxx is still receiving outpatient treatment at the rehab facility, it is great to see that he is improving and on the road to a full recovery.
