Dwight Howard Says He Would ‘Never Make Public Statements About Anything Private’ Following Allegations Of Sexual Assault From Man He Met Online
Dwight Howard doesn’t care to clear up any rumors.
During an appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, the professional basketball athlete shared that the only allegations that concern him are ill comments made about his relationship with his children. Including claims that he doesn’t “spend time” with his kids or that he’s a “deadbeat” who would “hurt” them.
He continued,
“All the other noise that people say, about whatever they think my personal life is, that’s my personal life. And I would never make public statements about anything private of mine when it comes to who was in my bed or anything like that.”
Dwight Howard‘s comments come amid a lawsuit brought against him by Stephen Harper, who is suing for assault and battery after an alleged linkup gone wrong.
Harper reportedly connected with Dwight Howard on Instagram in May 2021, initially contacting the T1 League player through a burner account. Harper sent Howard his cell phone number and eventually his primary account handle and pictures of himself. The accuser said Howard replied with a “devil emoji.”
In the court docs, Harper alleged the 37-year-old demanded nudes and vulgarly specified what he wanted the obscene footage to contain, including “c*mshots.”
Howard allegedly said,
“Now I want you to know I’m not like gay or anything. I’m jus a lil nasty sometimes. Ion wanna offend you.”
The alleged virtual engagement between Harper and the former Orlando Magic player persisted up to July 2021, when Harper finally visited Howard‘s Georgia home.
Harper recalled that Howard so-called asked him whether he would want to engage in a threesome with a man or a woman before his arrival, which he flatly refused. Harper claimed that upon his entrance inside the athlete estate, they kissed and talked until a man dressed as a woman knocked on the door. Howard then allegedly insisted Harper interact intimately with him and the person referred to as “Kitty.”
As previously reported,
“Kitty then turned on a pornographic film and began performing oral sex on Howard. Harper said he was uncomfortable but attempted to remain calm.”
According to the suit, Howard aggressively made moves toward Harper, feeling on him and ignoring his requests to stop.
“[Howard] stood up (towering over Mr. Harper), grabbed Mr. Harper by the thighs, forcibly removed Mr. Harper’s underwear, held Mr. Harper down, and performed nonconsensual oral sex on Mr. Harper. Mr. Harper was in fear of imminent bodily harm when he was pinned down and forced to remain in place while [Howard] continued to sexually assault him.”
“Kitty” was reportedly complicit in Howard‘s behavior, as it was claimed they were erotically gratifying the athlete during the alleged assault on Harper.
“[I felt] humiliated and was in complete shock.”
During Howard‘s appearance on her radio show, host Angela Yee interjected and reminded him of a time when he had stated he wasn’t gay. He replied,
“They’re going to say stuff like that to keep this whole negative train going. You got to find a way to assassinate these men character.”
