Erykah Badu Accuses Beyoncé Of Copying Her Oversized Top Hat Signature Look: ‘I Guess I’m Everybody Stylist’

Erykah Badu isn’t here for people copying her signature look.

As you may already know, Beyoncé, 41, is currently on the American leg of her Renaissance World Tour. One of her looks for the recent New Jersey performance included an Ivy Park jersey, paired with knee-high camouflage boots and an oversized silver hat. Beyoncé’s first-born daughter Blue Ivy, 11, joined her on stage and rocked a similar look, pairing her Ivy Park jersey with camouflage cargo pants.

The multi-Grammy Award winner shared images of the matching look online and many flooded the comment section with compliments. Fellow singer Erykah Badu, 52, also left an interesting comment and wrote,

“I’m flattered.”

Erykah Badu’s remark left many wondering if she was being shady towards Beyoncé. The “On & On” singer often wears an extra-large top hat. However, according to one Beyoncé fan, the two looks are not the same. They replied to Erykah Badu’s statement and said,

“stop Erykah! Your Abraham Lincoln hat is your trade mark. Everybody knows this is the formation hat. Why you wasn’t saying this when Formation came out? NOW you got some to say. Hmmmm…….I’m flattered.”

Erykah stood by her comment and continued to express the copying allegations via her own IG Stories. Over an image of Beyoncé’s look, she wrote,

“Hmm”

She also added a caption over a picture of her own signature look that said,

“I guess I’m everybody stylist”
