According to reports, Elton John spent the night in the hospital following “a slip” at his villa on Sunday (Aug. 27). Reportedly, the legendary singer has been spending the summer in France with his husband David Furnish, and their two sons after wrapping his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour — which ultimately stretched for five years with over 300 performances. After kicking off in 2018, Elton previously postponed the 2021 dates of his tour to undergo hip surgery after falling on a hard surface.
In addition to his procedure, delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back Elton’s farewell tour dates as well. He made his return to the stage in 2023 and officially wrapped the farewell tour in July. The Grammy winner’s final tour stop reportedly took place at The Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
