Actress Monyetta Shaw-Carter recently sat down for an interview with media personality Aaron Keenan and dished about reality TV, rumors about her personal life, and her time dating famed R&B singer Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Smith. As you may recall, the pair reportedly met in 2009 at a Jamie Foxx concert and Ne-Yo popped the big question the following year during a couple’s trip to the Dominican Republic. They ultimately called things off in 2013, just two months before their scheduled wedding date. During their time together, Monyetta Shaw-Carter had her tubes tied after they welcomed two children – Madilyn Grace, 12, and Mason Evan, 11.

Ne-Yo has been criticized by many over the sterilization procedure, however, Monyetta Shaw-Carter previously said they made the decision together.

Something else the former love birds agreed on was bringing other people into their bedroom. According to Monyetta, she was okay with having threesomes with the “So Sick” singer…until he wanted them all the time. She shared,

“He wasn’t ready. We cheated together if that makes sense. And then it just wasn’t enough and I was like, ‘Well, no. I didn’t sign up to do this every day.’”

She then clarified her cheating comment, explaining that they had threesomes and “did things together.”

After sharing that she can be a lady in the streets but a “freak in bed,” Monyetta continued,

“[I’m] just very multifaceted and that’s where I was at that time, but it became a problem when you want that, you know, a lot. Like, maybe I’ll give you that maybe twice a year…but it was too much.”

She added,

“If you want that then you don’t want me. It was making it seem like I’m not enough…I know my self-worth. Even though we can lose it because baby, I lost myself after.”

Following her split with Ne-Yo, Monyetta went on to marry a man named Heath Carter. Ne-Yo married and divorced Crystal Renay Williams. They welcomed 3 children during their time together. He also has 2 more children by a woman named Sadé Jenea, reports claim.
