Update: Soulja Boy’s Ex-Girlfriend Allowed To Seize Property From Rapper’s Home To Satisfy $472k He Owes For Pistol Whipping & Holding Her Hostage For Hours

Update: (Oct. 03, 2023): A judge has signed off on Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend’s request for the rapper’s property to be seized in order to pay off a debt.

As previously reported, the “Donk” rapper asked the court to overturn the $236k in punitive damages his ex, Kayla Myers, was awarded, claiming the ruling was excessive. She also won an additional $236k in damages after suing Soulja for holding her hostage and pistol-whipping her during a 2019 house party they attended.

Subsequent to the ruling, Soulja informed the court that he didn’t have the means to pay his ex. However, Myers fired back, asking the court to allow the Los Angeles Police Department to enter the rapper’s home and seize his property to settle the $472,000 debt.

According to RadarOnline, a judge has granted Myers’ request, however, they “would not sign off on all cash being seized from Soulja’s home but rather all cash in excess of $1k.”

Myers previously claimed her ex hoards “large stacks of cash (typically kept in backpacks)” in his home. She also noted he owns a few exotic automobiles and expansive pieces of jewelry.

Original Story: (Sept. 28, 2023): Soulja Boy‘s ex-girlfriend is determined to get the money he owes her by any means necessary.

According to a report from RadarOnline, Kayla Myers wants a judge to sign off on paperwork allowing the Los Angeles Police Department to enter the rapper’s home and seize his property to settle the $472,000 debt he owes her.

A court awarded Myers the funds after she won a lawsuit accusing her ex-boyfriend of assaulting her at a house party in 2019.

Soulja Boy — real name DeAndre Cortez Way — reportedly testified during the trial that he was the owner of a number of expensive exotic cars, including a red Lamborghini, a yellow Bentley, a yellow Mercedes-Benz, and a Dodge Charger Hellcat.

Myers said Soulja Boy also testified he has a Black Cartier watch worth $8,000 and a diamond-encrusted “Soulja Boy” neck chain worth $10,000. She added that he was in possession of other jewels and chains he failed to reveal during his testimony.

In addition, Myers noted Soulja had substantial amounts of cash, which are normally kept in bookbags and regularly posted on his Instagram page.

However, Soulja previously asked the court to overturn the $236k in punitive damages his ex was awarded, claiming the ruling was excessive. She also won an additional $236k in damages.

The rapper said he doesn’t own any real estate, has a $1 million tax lien filed against him, missed a lot of gigs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and isn’t making as much money as he did when his career first started.

His legal team alleged the rapper mostly earns a living by

“marketing some products, such as cologne and sneakers, but did not know what his earnings were from those sources.”

However, Soulja did disclose he may make up to $50,000 for concert bookings — before expenses — and rents a home for $25,000.

Reportedly, Myers suggested to pay her the “Rick & Morty” artist could

“simply liquidate just the Lamborghini and Bentley and clear out the whole judgment entirely. He’ll still have his Mercedes-Benz and Dodge Hellcat to drive; he’ll still be able to live in his $25,000 per month mansion, and keep all of his other valuable assets.”

Soulja’s motion to have the punitive damages tossed out was denied. Instead, the judge noted his ability to make money quickly and advised him to reduce his spending budget when it comes to maintaining his entertainer lifestyle.

Myers sued Soulja for allegedly kidnapping and pistol-whipping her while the two were dating. According to the civil suit, the rapper held his then-girlfriend against her will for several hours and abused her. She eventually escaped and was able to report the incident.
