Tory Lanez Reportedly Placed In General Prison Population After Complaining About Being In Protective Lockup Due To His Celebrity Status
Well, it looks like Tory Lanez is getting some sort of freedom, even if it is still behind bars.
According to reports, Tory Lanez has been taken out of prison isolation and is finally able to mingle with the rest of the inmates.

Tory Lanez
Just last month, an audio of Tory Lanez (seemingly) expressing his disdain for his experience thus far was released on his Instagram.
In the clip, he’s heard saying,
“I’m just happy to get out that b*llsh*t county jail. They was hating on a young, fly n*gga, you heard? Had me in 24-hour lockdown, half-sized cell by myself, no windows, no mirrors. [A] n*gga ain’t even seen himself in a whole year, yo!”
Sources alleged that the “Say It” artist was held in an “administrative segregation” as a safety precaution, which permitted him to be “personally escorted” to his own shower room and have the facility’s yard to himself during an allocated time period.
Despite claims of Lanez being “scared for his life” and feeling that his social caliber would make him a target, a rep later debunked those allegations by saying the entertainer actually preferred to be housed with the other prisoners.

Tory Lanez
An insider from the California Correctional Institution recently shared that Lanez is no longer receiving the “celebrity treatment,” and his days start no later than 6:30 a.m. in the general jail population.
He eats breakfast with everyone in what prison culture deems the “chow hall,” and then he heads to work release. While his exact job in the big house isn’t known, it could reportedly consist of anything from plumbing to carpentry.
Non-workers are said to have access to the recreational sector of the establishment and tablets for outside communication with loved ones.
Lanez has no extra security, and the opportunity to sign up for educational services is open to him as well. When he’s not in his cell, he’s pretty much able to socialize with fellow residents.

Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion
As previously reported, in December 2022, the 31-year-old was found guilty of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in her feet following a disagreement in 2020.
He was convicted of three felonies: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and negligent discharge of a firearm. A California judge ultimately sentenced him to 10 years for the offense.
On Tuesday (Oct. 10), Lanez’s legal team submitted documents for the second time in hopes of getting him released on bail as he appealed the conviction.
