Trey Songz’s Lawyer Responds After Two Women Accuse Singer Of Drugging & Sexually Assaulting Them At A 2015 House Party: ‘We Look Forward To Vindicating Trey’
Trey Songz has found himself at the center of another lawsuit.
According to reports, singer Trey Songz was recently sued for (allegedly) raping two women at his home back in 2015.
Following the now-widespread accusations, Michael Freedman, an attorney for Trey Songz, issued a statement. Freedman cited that the individuals were only trying to “take advantage” of California’s legal system.
He said in his response,
“This is yet another example of nearly decade-old allegations being repurposed to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new look back window. We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court.”
Along with sexual assault, the alleged victims are also coming after the “Fumble” phenomenon for battery.
Reportedly, the unnamed plaintiffs initially met Songz at one of his concerts in June 2015. Subsequent to his show, he was said to have hosted an after-party that the ladies attended as well.
From there, it appears that Songz established ongoing interaction(s) with them, which (eventually) led to the 38-year-old extending an invite to his birthday kickback later that year. In the court filings, the women said that the event took place at his Los Angeles pad.
Upon their Ubered arrival, they recalled being forced to hand over their cell phones and passwords in order to gain entrance. Once inside, they were then (supposedly) “pressured” into consuming alcohol out of already-opened containers.
The accusers claimed they soon felt severely inebriated and concluded that their drinks were spiked. Ultimately, they were reputedly led upstairs by Songz, where they passed out… fully clothed.
However, the next morning, one of the women recounted waking up nude while the “Bottoms Up” artist forcibly performed oral sex on her. The other one alleged that she, too, awoke naked as she noticed Songz “biting her nipple” and shoving his fingers into her vaginal area.
When they refused to shower with Songz, he was said to have told them with rage:
“You are little f*cking girls, get the f*ck out of my house!”
Although the R&B crooner attempted to hold their phones captive, the victims offered that one of Songz’s security guards returned the devices to them, and they were able to call an Uber and leave.
The plaintiffs are suing for damages due to suffering “lasting injuries.”
As you may know, this isn’t Songz’s first rodeo around the block of sexual assault allegations. Back in June, Trigga was facing a $10 million lawsuit for pulling a woman’s breasts out of her bikini top.
Previously, actress/songstress Keke Palmer and influencer Celina Powell have also accused Songz of sexually inappropriate behavior, among a slew of others.
No direct word from Songz on the matter yet.
Here’s what social media has had to say about his latest run-in…
