Sherri Shepherd Recalls Katt Williams Standing Her Up For A Date: ‘I Got A Outfit To Play Golf & I Waited & I Waited…’

Sherri Shepherd recently spilled details around her almost date with fellow comedian Katt Williams.

In a new episode of “Sherri,” Katt Williams sat down for an interview with Sherri Shepherd where he spoke about his “Dark Matter” comedy tour. Sherri Shepherd also brought up a time Katt Williams, 52, stood her up for their first date.

In a sneak peak of an upcoming episode of “Sherri,” the 56-year-old talk show host dove into her history with the stand-up comedian. According to Shepherd, her and Williams have known each other for a long time. During their sit down, the actress recalled a moment in their personal relationship when Williams called her up to go on a date.

Although the pair made arrangements to go golfing as the outing for their date, Shepherd said Williams ultimately didn’t follow through with their plans. While wanting to gain more clarity on the matter, the TV star shared,

“You called me one day and you was like, ‘I want to take you out. I’m going to take you to play golf.’ And I borrowed golf clubs from Kym Whitley, I got a outfit to play golf, and I waited, and I waited, and I waited. I’m not saying you stood me up, but I waited and I waited. What had happened?”

Williams took a pause and jokingly replied,

“I would like to think our relationship is strong enough that I don’t have to answer for every grievance. I just made a mistake. I thought you were meeting me there.” 

He added,

“By the time I got there I was there. I thought I was stood up for many holes. Yeah, just a misunderstanding.”
