Yung Miami Slams Critic For Claiming She’s ‘Not Interested In Music Anymore’ & The City Girls Should ‘Go Their Separate Ways’: ‘I’m Tired Of Y’all B*tches Lying On Me’
Yung Miami has no plans of stepping away from music anytime soon.
The entertainer just released her third studio album entitled “RAW” alongside her City Girls partner, JT. Unfortunately for the duo, reports claim their first-week sales of the project were surprisingly low, only selling between 6,000 and 8,000 units. During a recent stop at “The Breakfast Club,” the rap ladies were asked if they care about first-week numbers, and JT, born Jatavia Johnson, clarified,
“I mean, I care… nobody what’s to see that online about they-self. And I feel like at the same time, you get what you put in and sh*t. I feel like collectively, we didn’t do what we had to do to promote the album.”
She continued,
“If you don’t go hard with promoting your sh*t and putting it in people’s face, of course, it’s go miss people. And I feel like [our album] missed a lot of people. And then, by the time people discovered it, it was discovered as a joke. A lot of people found out through our record sales because that was probably the most viral thing.”
Yung Miami, born Caresha Brownlee, expressed similar sentiments and added,
“I just feel like with us, we’ve just been wanting this album to come out for so long…we just were wanting these songs out, wanting this album out to when it finally came out it was just all over the place.”

Despite the City Girls taking accountability for the numbers “RAW” earned thus far, one critic still blasted the rappers, claiming Yung Miami just isn’t interested in making music anymore. In a now-deleted post shared to X, they wrote,
“It’s clear Caresha is not interested in music anymore… She barely promoted the album or any of the singles.. They just need to break up and go their separate ways”
Yung Miami fired back and said,
“Y’all just sit on the internet and lie, like that dead *ss should be a crime! All I been doing is promoting that mf album I’m tired of y’all b*tches lying on me! I just promoted flashy with a TikTok w/ my daughter, another 1 that I just uploaded with my glam team! get tf on with that narrative miserable *ss b*tch!”
According to reports, the City Girls’ first album — “Girl Code” — sold over 200,000 units and peaked in the top half of the Billboard 200 at number 55, and their second project — “City on Lock” — reportedly sold fewer units but was well received by music critics.
