Update: Day26 Singer Brian Angel Seemingly Addresses Owing Over $200,000 In Back Child Support Payments: ‘What May Be Tea For You, Is A Testimony For Me’

Update: (Nov. 8, 2023): Brian Olatunde Andrews, now professionally known as Brian Angel, isn’t ashamed about his mishaps.

The Day26 singer recently took to Instagram and (seemingly) addressed the reason he’s been making headlines this week. You may recall that we recently reported the 43-year-old is listed on the Child Support Evaders website for the state of Texas. According to the site, he owes $266,115 in back payments for one child.

However, it seems Brian isn’t allowing the hefty debt to bring him down. He posted a text post online that said,

“I’m not embarrassed about anything I went through. What may be “tea” for you, is a testimony for me. If you’re gonna talk about what broke me, invite me to the table so I can tell you what God did with the pieces.”

At this time it’s unclear if Brian is in the process of settling the debt or not.

Original Story: (Nov. 7, 2023): Brian Angel has become a hot topic on X for something other than his musical talents.

Recently, a user on the social media platform formally known as Twitter posted what appeared to be a screenshot of the Texas Child Support Evaders website, which lists individuals who are behind on their child support payments. It didn’t take long for people to spot a familiar face on the infamous list, 43-year-old Brian Olatunde Andrews, who now professionally goes by Brian Angel. The entertainer is most known for his time as a member of the R&B group Day26. According to the listing, Brian Angel owes $266,115 for one child.

It’s important to note there’s a chance the “Silly Love” artist could owe more, as the site claims the listed 6-figured amount is correct “as of Monday, July 13, 2020.”

At this time, it’s unclear if Brian Angel is still a resident of Texas, but the Child Support Evaders website asks site visitors a series of questions aimed at tracking the American Music Awards nominee down. A few of the questions are; “Do you know the person’s address or are you able to provide directions to the residence,” “Can you describe his/her vehicle or provide a license plate number,” and “Has this person’s appearance changed since the time of the above photograph?”

One person on X seemingly shocked by Brian (allegedly) being behind on his child support payments said,

“Yo that’s Brian “Angel” Andrew’s from Diddy making the band Day 26. Child support be a nasty business”

Others weighed in and added,
