Update: Diddy Is NOT Named In A Sealed & Ongoing Criminal Investigation, NYPD Says: ‘There Is No Such Investigation, At Present’

Update: (Nov. 17, 2023): Information regarding a larger assault case involving Diddy has been debunked by the NYPD.

After reports claimed the Bad Boys Records founder was potentially facing more lawsuits amid the situation with Cassie, authorities have confirmed there are no other active investigations against Diddy at this time. They reportedly releaed a statement that reads:

“Yesterday, a member of the NYPD’s public information office erroneously told a reporter about the apparent existence of an active case file containing the name ‘Sean Combs.’ There is no such investigation, at present. Further, the release of such information is not consistent with the internal policies of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information. The NYPD always treats allegations of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so that support and services can be offered to survivors and a comprehensive investigation can be conducted.”

Original Story: (Nov. 17, 2023): Looks like more legal trouble may be headed Diddy’s way.

In light of the recent bombshell rape and abuse lawsuit filed by his ex Cassie, reports state that the media mogul’s name is also on an active NYPD criminal investigation file.

Diddy

According to a TMZ report, law enforcement official’s shared that Diddy’s legal name “Sean Combs” appears on the document, but is “locked” from further review. Upon inquiring about it, the media outlet says they were issued a statement from the police department that reads:

“The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”

Their response seems to suggest that the case does involve sexual assault, though that has not been confirmed. It was confirmed, however, that the case is active and ongoing, but is “sensitive”, thus barring certain information from being shared. News of the criminal investigation comes shortly after the “Gotta Move On” artist’s ex, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, 37, filed a shocking $30 million lawsuit against him, accusing him of years of domestic abuse and rape.

In the suit, the “Me & U” singer gave graphic accounts of the alleged abused, claiming that she was coerced into taking drugs and sleeping with several male prostitutes while Diddy “watched’ for pleasure. Additionally, she claims that the 54-year-old once barged in her home unwelcome and unannounced, forcing her to have sex with him. and physically beat her on multiple occasions. A rep for Diddy has expectedly denied the claims, arguing that Cassie is simply looking for a financial shakedown. It doesn’t appear that Diddy himself nor any of his family has spoken publicly about the allegations at this time.

The TMZ report also notes that they attempted to contact all the police stations Cassie mentions in the suit, but were given the same response at each stop. Reportedly, there have been no other complaints filed however, and there are reportedly no other active investigations. It doesn’t appear the model has spoken on her socials about the suit either at this time. Though her husband and children’s father Alex Fine did uploaded a now deleted post to his instagram story of the two cuddled up with each other on their wedding day.
