Solange Knowles Seemingly Responds To Internet Troll Claiming She Doesn’t Have Guardianship Of Son Julez: ‘This Is A Lie’

We all know that Solange Knowles doesn’t play when it comes to her family!

Over the weekend speculation surfaced on the internet that the Grammy Award winner is not the primary caretaker of her son, 19-year-old Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr., and instead, Julez is being raised by a family member. The crazy allegation was seemingly sparked by a post from an internet troll who wrote,

“Solo hasn’t looked over Juelz since 2014. She is completely disconnected from that child

Juelz lives with Angie. Without Daniel Sr. Stepping n out of

Yea, I said it.”

For those who may be unaware, Angie, full name Angela Beyincé, is a famed songwriter who happens to also be Solange and Beyoncé’s cousin. She has songwriting credits for many well-known tracks from Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child, including “Speechless,” “Check on It,” and “Girl.”

As with most rumors surrounding the Knowles family, it didn’t take long for the internet to weigh in on the claim that Angie has guardianship of Julez. Some agreed with the statement, with one person expressing,

“Y’all mad in these comments but she is definitely not lying. He told someone on TikTok a while ago that his relationship with his mom is complicated. He hasn’t lived with her full time in YEARS. Never cared enough to figure out why but, I do hope it’s for a good reason.”

However, many came to Solange Knowles’ defense, shooting the allegation down. Solange has even liked some of the comments slamming the rumor, seemingly showing there’s no truth to the post, which has been viewed over 1.3 million times. One response the “Cranes In The Sky” artist appeared to agree with stated,

“This is a lie lmao, y’all really need to get your own lives. It’s sickening and scary that people sit online and do this. Ewwww”

Another post liked by Solange said,

“the internet is such a weird place because this sentiment being expressed based off ig comments and paparazzi pictures is wild. and this is exactly why I am appreciative of limited she is now, some of y’all are really insane.”

Julez also appeared to defend his mother. The teen shared an image of Solange to his Instagram Stories and wrote,

“My whole heart!”
