Mariah Huq Seemingly Shades Phaedra Parks Casting On “Married To Medicine”, Says She Has No Connection To The Show But Is ‘Known As The Head Doctor’

Reality TV star Mariah Huq didn’t hold back while sharing her thoughts on Phaedra Park’s new TV gig.

The “Married to Medicine” alum says she doesn’t understand how the former Housewife got cast on the show, and offered some alternative show ideas she believes may be better suited.

It seems Mariah Huq spoke about the matter during a recent live video where she stated:

“My thoughts on Phaedra joining the cast of Married to Medicine is girl get you an easy coin cause that what it seems like it is. I don’t understand the connection or parallel, unless she’s representing one of the ladies in the malpractice situation I don’t understand the connection. She’s not married to medicine.”

She added:

“I believe that Phaedra is good for TV. I believe that she’s shown that and I think she deserves something in law. ‘Law and Liars’…I’d like to see her on Housewives of Atlanta in the parking lot doing her law with the criminals in the car, ‘Parking Lot Lawyers’ I don’t know. I think that she’s great for TV…I just don’t understand the connection there. But you know what she came through…and is she known as the head doctor,”

Phaedra Parks

In case you’re unfamiliar, Phaedra Parks formerly spent six seasons on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” until her controversial departure in 2017. If you recall she was let go from the series after she admitted to lying about a nasty rumor involving her cast mate Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker. Subsequently, the TV personality made short appearances of other reality shows such as “Marriage Bootcamp” as well as the “Girl’s Trip” and “Dubai” spin-off’s of the Housewives franchise. Then in January of this year, it was announced that Parks would be joining the “Married to Medicine” cast as she was reportedly in a relationship with a doctor. Though she confirmed on the show that the romance has since ended.

Thus far, Parks has only appeared on the 10th season of the series much to fans disapproval. Following the premiere of the 7th episode, which dropped this past Sunday (December 17th), many took to social media to express their agreement with Huq that “Married to Medicine” may not be a good fit for Parks, arguing that she really has no connection the show.

It is unclear whether or not Parks will return for season 11 at this time.
