Lil Scrappy Shares He’s Glad He ‘Didn’t Jump Into’ Another Relationship Following His Divorce As He Talks About Spending Christmas Alone: ‘I Ain’t Been Without Somebody Being With Me In A Long Time’

The holiday season can be a great time for self-reflection.

Earlier today (Dec. 25) rapper-turned-reality TV star Lil Scrappy, real name Darryl Richardson III, went live on Instagram and gave his fans a glimpse at what Christmas morning looked like for him post his separation from Adi “Bambi” Benson. As you may recall, the “No Problem” artist shares three young children with his ex-wife Bambi and one college-aged daughter with his ex-fiancée Erica Dixon. According to Scrappy, despite initially thinking that Christmas day would be hard for him as a recently single man, he “woke up to a grateful feeling.”

After showing his viewers the mountain of gifts he purchased for his children and loved ones for when they visit his home, Scrappy shared,

“I thought I was go be stupid sad [today] and the devil tried to play with me like that at first…before I even opened my eyes, it was like, ‘I’m all alone, I’m alone right now on Christmas.’ N*gg* woke up with no kids, no nothing. It was interesting.”

He continued,

“‘Cause I haven’t been like that in a long f*cking time. I ain’t been without somebody being with me in a long time. But that’s what I say — why I always try to stress the fact that I’m single…this sh*t is not a game.”

The Atlanta native added,

“I’m glad I didn’t jump into no other relationship that fast…I was able to see what I need to really do. I need to take care of my kids [and] make sure people around me are happy.”

As previously reported, Scrappy and Bambi married in 2017 and reportedly ended their relationship earlier this year. Initially following the breakup, things between the former love birds seemed rocky as they took multiple shots against one another online. It’s unclear where they currently stand but they do seem to be co-parenting well. A few hours after ending his live stream, Scrappy shared via his Stories that his youngest children arrived at his residence to open their presents.
