Lenny Kravitz Speaks On Daughter Zoë’s Upcoming Wedding To Channing Tatum, Shares He Won’t Pre-Write His Father-Of-The-Bride Speech: ‘I Don’t Rehearse Those Things’

Lenny Kravitz is seemingly someone who likes to live in the moment.

During a red-carpet interview ahead of the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday (Jan. 14) Lenny Kravitz dished about his daughter Zoë Kravitz’s pending nuptials to fellow entertainer Channing Tatum. When asked if he would “reduce the fee” for the “High Fidelity” actress to perform at her wedding, the “Fly Away” artist said,

“There is no fee, are you kidding? It’s my daughter.”

Lenny Kravitz continued, sharing his true thoughts on Channing Tatum.

“I do love him. We’re good friends. A lot of mutual respect. And my daughter’s happy.”

While speaking to another publication during the same red-carpet appearance, Lenny Kravitz said he has no plans to pre-write his father-of-the-bride speech. He revealed,

“It just comes at the moment. I don’t rehearse those things,”

He added that for his speech, he’ll speak simply “from the heart.”

Zoë Kravitz, 35, and Channing Tatum, 43, first sparked dating rumors back in 2021 and news of their engagement surfaced a couple of years later in October 2023. Overall, they have been fairly hushed about their relationship but in a November 2022 interview with GQ, Zoë touched on what she loved most about her then-boyfriend, stating,

“He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”

Their marriage will mark the second legal union for both actors. Zoë previously tied the knot with Karl Glusman in 2019. They divorced a few years later in 2021, reportedly around the same time she started dating Channing Tatum.

As for the “Magic Mike” star, he was married to Jenna Dewan from 2009 until 2019. They share one child.
