50 Cent Sued For Emotional Distress & Permanent Injuries By Radio Host He Previously Struck w/ A Microphone

Media mogul 50 Cent might be on the hook for a significant settlement payout.

According to reports, the hip-hop vet was recently sued for an undisclosed amount in damages over an incident last year where he injured someone by throwing his microphone.

Reports state that the suit, filed by LA based radio host Bryhana Monegain, accuses 50 Cent of causing serious injuries and continued emotional distress as a result of the incident. If you recall the “Power” producer, real name Curtis Jackson, 48, made headlines during a performance he was having last year where he had a meltdown over a malfunctioned microphone. Witnesses claim the musician was upset because he was repeatedly handed devices that didn’t work, and eventually launched one of them into the crowd out of frustration.

Despite not aiming the microphone at anyone specifically, the device connected to Monegain, allegedly hitting her in the head and wrist, according to the suit. Shortly after it happened, pictures began to circulate of her with a large laceration on her forehead. The radio personality added in the complaint that she had to be hospitalized and incurred a significant amount medical bills. She’s reportedly suing for wages lost during recovery, medical expenses, and other unspecified damages.

Initially, 50 was named as a person on interest on battery related charges due to the incident. However, police reportedly cleared him of anything criminal. His reps have since released a statement making it clear the “Candy Shop” artist did not intentionally mean to cause any harm. It does not appear anyone from his team has spoken about the new lawsuit at this time.
